Testimonials

Vision for Families is a remarkable organization that is dedicated to keeping and enhancing the quality of life for families and communities through services, stewardship of resources, and shared responsibility, providing families and community-based support for children, adults, seniors, and people with disabilities. Their unwavering commitment to serving marginalized communities has significantly contributed to positive change in our community. I have had the privilege of observing their work and have been consistently impressed by their professionalism, innovation, and effectiveness. - Tiffany Jackson, Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy

Vision for Families is a dedicated group with a proven track record of serving children, adults, seniors, and people with disabilities in Dallas food deserts. Their team is by, for, and of the community they serve, and they have developed multiple partnerships with community institutions. Vision for Families is committed to improving the health of low-income community members, and they are well-suited to increase community awareness and support for persons with cancer.

I recently retired as the executive director of the Texas Tenants’ Union (TTU), a non-profit organization that has been educating tenants on their rights and responsibilities for more than 40 years.  Vision for Families often included TTU’s eviction prevention flyers and other tenant education hand-outs in their food distributions.

I have no doubt that Vision for Families can engage caregivers and community members to increase awareness of cancer clinical trials and other health initiatives in a culturally-sensitive manner. They are already known and trusted in the communities they serve.

In August 2019, Ms. Robinson began working with the Dallas Healthy Start Community Action Network (CAN). She presented the local community needs assessment for the Pleasant Grove area focused on health disparities and social determinants of health.  A CAN is a formally organized partnership of agencies and community-based organizations and community members working together to achieve common goals for community betterment and coordinating services to improve health outcomes for all community residents.

The CAN is made up of neighborhood residents, community leaders, faith-based leaders medical and social service providers, and business representatives who address fragmented service delivery and aim to create culturally and linguistically appropriate services at the community level. The work is done through key community leaders such as Ms. Robinson forming partnerships and drawing on unique strengths in their own communities to transform the neighborhoods and ensure women and families have access to needed care and services such as medical homes for annual exams and breast health screening services.

Vision for Families continues to be a leader in her community for the CAN and the community voice in efforts to improve mothers 'and families’ health. She continues to work with Dallas Healthy Start and provides numerous resources for women and families. This is evidenced by ongoing assistance to community members with resources including rental assistance, food, clothing, and ongoing community feeding programs in collaboration with churches and community-based programs. She continues to work with and collaborate with the Dallas Healthy Start CAN improving the quality of, and access to, healthcare and other support for residents in her community. - Dallas Healthy Start Community Action Network

We have partnered with several organizations across the globe and our most inspiring sponsor and visionary is Vision for Families, Ms. A. Robinson.

Vision for Families has mentored many organizational leaders on how to operate their nonprofits successfully for many years, she has fought for housing rights for families living on public assistance. Alice Robinson is currently serving on several boards, she helps the sick and homeless with immediate care, and volunteered several hundreds of hours to those affected by natural disasters.

If anyone is deserving, Visions for Families, a nonprofit organization, speaks volumes to the community.
