Turning Pain into Purpose, One Family at a Time

Vision for Families was born from both heartbreak and hope. Alice Robinson, CEO/Executive Director, and her teenage son shared a dream—to build a business that would create opportunities for others. But at just 16 years old, he suffered a fatal heart attack, leaving Alice devastated.

Yet, in the face of unimaginable loss, she made a choice: the dream would not die with him. Instead, she transformed her grief into a mission of empowerment, ensuring that no family would have to struggle alone.

​

As a single mother raising five children, Alice knew firsthand what it meant to face hardship—to wonder where the next meal would come from, to struggle without resources, to feel unseen. That experience fueled her passion to help others. With over 30 years in nonprofit management, she has since guided over 100 aspiring entrepreneurs in starting their own businesses while impacting thousands of lives through community service.

A Vision for Change

In 2020, Alice founded Vision for Families, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization built on the principles of equity, inclusion, and compassion. We believe that no one should have to fight life’s battles alone.

At Vision for Families, we don’t offer a handout—we offer a hand up.
