CEO/Executive Director, Alice Robinson and her son were preparing to start their own business before he died at the tender age of 16 of a heart attack. Losing her son was devastating, and it led to heartaches, trials, and tribulations; however, Alice wouldn't allow the vision she and her son had to be shattered. She was determined to create opportunities for children and their families while raising her other five children as a single mother.

Alice is a Texan who understands firsthand what it means not to have food accessibility and the everyday essentials that are required to live from day to day.

As we fast forward to several years later, Alice has helped over 100 people start their own businesses and she has invested 30 plus years in non-profit management.

In 2020, she started Vision for Families, a nonprofit with IRS 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt status. Vision for Families holds equity, diversity, and inclusion at the helm of our organizational structure.

The Vision is to give thanks, bless the community, and help wherever needed. At Vision for Families we believe that we are "just a hand up and not a hand-out."
